Your own business radio station, and how we set it up for you

Retail radio designs your ideal radio station. This is how we do it.

  1. We get to know your organisation and your target audience.
  2. We turn that information into an audio analysis, including a clear plan of action.
  3. This forms the basis for your streaming retail radio station.
  4. We give you thorough advice on music rights (Buma/Stemra and Sena).
  5. We look at the technical options within your organisation and advise you on the best hardware.
  6. Based on this, we build your online radio station entirely in the cloud.
  7. We shape the station with professional jingles, commercials and, of course, the right music.
  8. A trial period follows, so the format can be tested thoroughly within your organisation.
  9. After launch, your own retail radio station streams anywhere, at any time.
  10. Listening is easy through an app on your phone, your browser or straight through your Sonos speakers.
Before we start

We map out every store

Before we start, we visit your stores and record how music is currently played at each location. That saves you unnecessary purchases: the existing system is often good enough, and all it takes is connecting a pre-programmed internet radio. We can supply one by arrangement. Every store receives a short set of instructions, so the station is switched on everywhere and stays on.

What we want to know about each store

  • Is music being played now, and through which system?
  • Central sound system, own amplifier with speakers, or Sonos?
  • Which source: CD, streaming, radio?
  • Is there technical know-how in the store?
  • Is there wifi or a fixed internet connection?
  • Wishes for music and messages
Technology

Never silent in store

In the event of an outage, the station switches automatically to a fallback system with music, and an alert goes to our support team, who fix it. Your station runs entirely in the cloud, with backup and security, is managed remotely and comes with 24/7 support.

  • No investment in physical hardware
  • No costs for software updates
  • Remote management, 24/7 support
  • Multiple stations from one shared music database
  • Music updates every two weeks
  • Works through a central sound system, Sonos, internet radio or app
Frequently asked questions

Questions about how it works

On getting started, equipment and management.

How long before we go live?

Technically, your station can be running within 48 hours. A complete station, with its own music format, jingles and commercials, is ready within a few weeks. For multiple stores or countries, we first draw up an inventory and a schedule.

Do we need to buy new equipment?

Usually not. We look at what is already installed at each store. Often it is simply a matter of connecting a pre-programmed internet radio to the existing system. We can supply one by arrangement.

What happens during an outage?

The station switches automatically to a fallback system with music, so your store is never silent. At the same time, an alert goes to our support team, who resolve the outage. Around the clock, 24/7.

Can we manage the station ourselves?

We manage the station for you, remotely. If you want to change anything in the music, programming or spots, we sort it out quickly, with no middleman.

Is there a trial period?

Yes. A trial period comes before the launch, so the format can be tested thoroughly within your organisation.

How does the contract work?

We work with a service agreement for a fixed term. The term and conditions are set out in your quote.
